This restaurant is friendly and have Happy Hours menu with variety of selection from oysters, ceviche to burgers and fries. Definitely family and friends oriented, we love coming here on Friday nights.
They have outdoor seating and comfort indoors setup.
My son particularly love their Salmon Tacu Tacu, which has tons of seafood and toppings.

Came on a Saturday night and there was no wait. We got the ceviche mixto, lomo saltado, and chicharron de pollo. The portions were a good size. The ceviche was fresh and the sauce was just the right amount of tangy. The plantain chips were also tasty and fried really well. The lomo saltado had good flavor, however the steak was dry and tough. The rice and fries really soaked up the flavor of the sauce. The fried chicken was seasoned perfectly, however the meat was also really dry. The dishes were on the pricey side, however every dish had amazing flavor.

Fresca offers upscale dining with delicious Peruvian food that's perfect for a birthday or special occasion. The inside is gorgeous, with brightly colored walls and decorated with murals and paintings. They have seating options for both small groups of two and larger tables.

The menu is drool worthy - I haven't tried much Peruvian food before and wanted to try everything on the menu! I settled for sharing plantain chips and chicharrones for appetizers, and the seared salmon dish for the main. The plantain chips were really addicting and great for snacking. I was a little misled by the chicharrones - I thought it was going to be roasted chicken with crispy skin, but it ended up being fried chicken. I would probably not order that one again. But the salmon dish was so yummy! It came with rice and beans as well as oysters, scallops, shrimp. It was quite large and filling, and I'm glad I chose to split it with my friend.

Finally, because it was my friend birthday, the waitress brought out a flan at the end! It was gorgeously plated and had a strong vanilla flavor that I loved. I would absolutely come here again to try more of the menu! It is on the pricier side so I would only come for a special occasion.

BEST octopus. If you don't like octopus, try this and it will change your mind. Perfectly charred, with delicious sauces and potatoes. It's grilled just the right amount; the octopus is tender, not chewy. I always get the paella with some ceviche and the sangria is so worth getting the pitcher. We got so full on appetizers we barely touched the paella but they'll happily give you a box & bag for your to gos.

The servers are charming and check in often to see if the food is good and if you need anything. They change plates for you when needed. Inside is cute and they have a bar area to grab a drink if you're waiting for your table.

Highly recommend this great Peruvian food!! They also have a sister restaurant in Pacifica, Puerto 27 that has great food, service and an ocean view.

Nice warmed (via heating lamp) outdoor seating available. Attentive service. Good drinks! Tasty sweet plantains.

The jalea from the appetizers menu was delicious and a great portion of food. The fried calamari, fish, shrimp, and yucca were all tender and tasty. Good tartar sauce. Unfortunately the breading wasn't really the crispy kind but the seafood was all cooked very well. It was great. Very enjoyable as an entree tbh. The toasted corn was also a nice addition.

The flan for dessert was smooth and creamy with a delicious strawberry syrup. The flavor was so intense! It was really good.

I noticed Fresca earlier this year as the N-Judah goes right past it. I wish I could have taken advantage of their happy hour since they have some cool offerings on there. But alas, the Little Gal and I stopped by last month for a quick meal after a long day.

We had the Yuquitas Huancaina "yuca fries, huancaina - truffle sauce, parmesan" $10. It was good, and we enjoyed every bit of the sauce. We also had two orders of the Anticuchos: Traditional Beef Heart "served with fried potatoes, corn on the cob, ahi sauce" $15. They also serve a chicken version, but we only know the beef heart version. Their version is very good and we just devoured it. The Little Gal easily wanted another portion which is how we ended up with two. The accompanying aji sauce is very tasty as well.

Service was okay. It took us awhile to get our order in and to wave the server down for our second order. It was a weekday and I would say they have a decent amount of dinner guests. I would return though for more anticucho and their happy hour $1 oysters!

We came here for Happy Hour on Wednesday. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was so sweet and the gentleman behind the bar came to check in to see if everything tasted good. The food and drinks were really good!
We ordered the calamari - definitely ask for extra side sauce. It was yummy! We got the empanadas and they came 2 to an order. We split the burger. It had plantains on it and we added an egg. It was delicious. We also had the salmon sashimi with plantains. I could've done without the plantains but the sashimi was done so well with just the right spice.
We also ordered some drinks from their happy hour menu. The pisco sour is a safe bet and always one of my favorites. The pisco punch is very tart. I didn't mind it but expected it to be more fruity. We also got a vodka martini with olives, which was strong but went down smooth. Everything we had was great and service was fantastic so we'll definitely be back.

First time here and so far I haven't been disappointed in anything. Well besides the desert. It was good but I can only handle so much sweet which we didn't get to finish it, I don't think it's even a legit reason since it was good lol.

Our service was really good too. They were all really nice. My favorite was the octopus tentacles and paella. Their home made hot sauce are the bomb! I can use that on everything except the desert and plantain lol.

      Definitely recommend this place.

The skinny: absolutely yummy Peruvian food and solid drinks on a cute street.

The overview: we came here on a whim after exploring the botanical gardens down the street - and we were so glad we did! I would recommend everything we ordered but some highlights are... ceviche! There were a ton to choose from but we loved the variety of the carretillero. Fresh ceviche in a tangy citrus sauce topped with a generous heaping of fried calamari. But what really stole the show was the octopus - pulpo al olivo. Some of the most tender flavorful octopus I've had - would highly recommend! Other items were the beef heart skewers (a little less salty than I would have liked alone but great with the sauce) and I can never say no to a plate of yuca fries. We finished off with a tres leches which was perfectly soaked in all the flavors. For drinks they are known for their pisco sour and for good reason - super refreshing tangy drink that has just the right amount of sweet.

Service was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable (we were at the bar) - shout-out to Ivan! Prices were reasonable - especially for seafood in SF ($$)

Would I come back: if I was local this would definitely be added to one of my go to spots for good food!
