Always will be a favorite place to eat. Lifetime local and I used to work at the Conch House, so I know how good the service is. I recommend it to anyone looking for lunch or dinner on the water.

Upon the recommendation of a local friend, we decided to visit Conch House Restaurant, enticed by the allure of its charming ambiance and breathtaking view of the intercostal waters. To secure our spot, we made use of Yelp's convenient waitlist feature, which allowed us to patiently anticipate our turn. Opting for a Tiki Hut table, we were prepared to wait a little longer than usual, but this only added to the anticipation and excitement.
Fortunately, luck was on our side, as we were granted an elevated Tiki Hut table. From this vantage point, we were treated to a panoramic view that exceeded our expectations. The tranquil waters and picturesque surroundings set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
As we perused the menu, my wife's eyes were immediately drawn to the Ribeye. This mouthwatering dish consisted of a generous 14 oz Blackened ribeye steak, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans. With each savory bite, she fell deeper in love with the dish, devouring nearly the entire steak.
Opting for a lighter option, I chose the shrimp tacos. Presented on three soft flour tortillas, they were filled with crisp cabbage, flavorful corn salsa, and a hint of chipotle mayo. Served alongside black beans and fragrant coconut rice, the dish was a delicious combination of flavors. While I enjoyed the tacos, I couldn't help but ponder the enticing array of other options on the menu, leaving me eager to return and explore further culinary delights.
Our daughter, an avid fan of macaroni and cheese, opted for the Lobster Mac n Cheese. This delectable creation featured sautéed cold water lobster immersed in a rich cheddar and smoked Gouda cheese sauce, all atop perfectly cooked shell macaroni. The dish was then elegantly finished with a crunchy panko topping. With each forkful, she could hardly contain her delight, declaring it the best macaroni and cheese she had ever tasted.
Aside from the culinary experience, we were pleased to find that the cleanliness of the restaurant matched the quality of the food. The bathrooms were impeccably maintained, and the overall establishment exuded a sense of cleanliness and attention to detail. The abundance of outdoor seating options allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings, further enhancing our dining experience. Notably, Conch House Restaurant even boasts the presence of baby alligators, adding a touch of excitement for guests of all ages.
One aspect to note is that parking can be a challenge, as the popularity of the restaurant attracts a steady stream of visitors. However, we found that the overall experience at Conch House Restaurant more than made up for this minor inconvenience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 631107Mar 15, 20241 check-in
This was one of the most highly recommended places in Saint Augustine & we were so excited to check it out. We waited longer for one of the tiki huts. Which I'm glad we did, it was totally worth it. We enjoyed the bar down by the water while waiting & it was awesome down there.
We enjoyed the drinks especially their version of a Long Island iced tea. The food was all pretty underseasoned. Legit everything I tried needed a hefty amount of salt & pepper. From the fried shrimp, to the calamari, to the lobster bisque & the conch fritters. The banana pepper sauce with the calamari was killer. And we all loved the key lime pie.
Will I be rushing back here? No
Would I go back? Probably only if I was sitting in a tiki hutHelpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Spencer C.Gulf Shores, AL674564Feb 17, 2024
Great service. Very short wait for greeting and round of drinks. Our server was fantastic. She made recommendations and answered all questions. We had a great view from our table.
The fish was cooked perfectly. The conch fritters and conch strips were amazing. The broccoli was a little al'dente which is just the way I liked it.
The fish dish I had was served with a fried. Grit cake which was fabulous. I wish they would do that grit cake for the shrimp a grits dish with the cream sauce over the top. Looking forward to next timeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Caroline P.Atlanta, GA018Apr 22, 2024
Last night we had our dinner at this establishment. We opted for outdoor seating because it was incredibly loud inside. The outdoor seating was nice and our server was very polite and accommodating!
However, the food was only mediocre. Just a heads up to others. The outdoor atmosphere is very pleasant, but just go walk around the marina and have a drink at the bar. I won't go back, especially since there are many other places to try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Raul M.St. Augustine, FL282Apr 22, 2024
Awful service by the host
We left to another restaurant, nothing to add to this reviewHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 25, 2024
The vibe of The Conch House is definitely it, especially if you sit out. There is a beautiful view of the water. There's also a bar in the middle of the water that you can walk up to and grab a few drinks. Make sure to go on the weekends where they have live music and you can enjoy it.
For Appetizers, I ordered the Bell Pepper Calamari which was tender and plentiful. I personally do not care for bell peppers so honestly, I can't review them since I didn't have it.
For Dinner, I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and I will say... one of the best I've ever had.
I would absolutely come back, but next time... I'm bringing bug spray because I did leave a few bites. I guess they were hungry too! LOLHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Annette Kristal G.San Francisco, CA039Apr 18, 2024

A Relaxing Gem by the Sea: Conch House Restaurant Our visit to Conch House Restaurant was a delightful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find ample parking available, setting the tone for a stress-free outing. Opting to dine outdoors on a picturesque day, we were greeted by a stunning view, making our decision to sit outside all the more enjoyable.Though tempted by the charming tiki hut tables, we opted not to wait, and our server, Jack, promptly attended to us with a warm demeanor and helpful suggestions. I savored a cup of Minorcan conch chowder, brimming with flavor with a shrimp salad wrap complemented by a refreshing cucumber salad. Larry, on the other hand, relished the pulled pork sandwich on a toasted bun, accompanied by coleslaw and fries. To cap off our meal, we couldn't resist sharing a slice of their house-made key lime pie, which proved to be the perfect finale to our culinary journey. Each dish was executed with finesse, showcasing the chef's expertise and dedication to quality ingredients. As first-time patrons, we left with a sense of satisfaction and a promise to return. Conch House Restaurant has undoubtedly earned a spot on our list of favorites, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit to savor more of their delectable offerings.
